When you ask information management professionals "What is File Analytics?" you can get a lot of different responses. There's no one definition that fits everyone's understanding of the term. When Doculabs refers to "file analytics" we are referring to technology that takes data existing on the wrapper of the file and adds pattern matching with respect to the contents of the file.

File analytics technology can be a strong alternative to Artificial Intelligence or Natural Language Processing.

If you already understand patterns in the data, file analytics technology is a good option - and one that tends to be simpler and less expensive than artificial intelligence or natural language processing.
